We are CAAR Exhibitor of the Year 2017
The Canadian Association of Agri-Retailers puts on a great conference for its members every year. CAAR represents agri-retailers who actively support Canadian growers in the production of the highest quality food possible by protecting food quality, farm productivity, and the long term sustainability of our industry. LandView was pleased to be a part of their conference in 2016 and were happy to contribute again this year, in beautiful Banff, Alberta.
When CAAR announced their "Innovation Showdown", how could any respectable sensor & drone company resist the temptation to show off their products? Markus Weber had 2 minutes to wow the crowd with an audience game of "Can it be done with a drone?". One of the crowd favourites was footage from our friend Dave Weber at Fleet Country Farms in Castor:
We were honoured that the crowd chose us as the Innovation Showdown winner. And then, we were even more surprised to be selected by a secret panel of judges as the CAAR Exhibitor of the Year for 2017. We were supposedly chosen over the many other interesting booths because of the "curiosity factor" surrounding drones in agriculture. We're pretty sure that having the FireFLY6 wing and the Slantrange sensor didn't hurt either.
It was of course also great to meet and reconnect with many agricultural retailers at the conference and take in the great lineup of speakers, including J.P. Gervais from FCC and a panel discussion about the Canadian Field Print Initiative.
We'll definitely be back for the 2018 show in Saskatoon. Not yet a member? Consider joining CAAR.
